You’ll Need To Have

• Significant experience of effective PMO and project controls leadership on significant/landmark/mega construction projects.
• Significant experience of leading the effective deployment of robust PMO and project controls strategies/frameworks and integrated project controls methodologies.
• Expert knowledge of risk tools, techniques and software (e.g., MS office and Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6 and RiskHive, @risk, Primavera Risk Analyser).
• Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty or ambiguity providing effective consultancy to clients and other key stakeholders to drive effective outcome/s.
• Practical application, and understanding of the opportunities related to data analytics and intelligent reporting, Power BI and other reporting suite tools.
• Actively supports professional white paper development and review.
• Actively promotes business within professional networks both within the UK and globally. (or local equivalent)
• Experience of delivering a range of project services on major construction programmes or management consultancy.
• Relevant university degree (e.g. construction, engineering) or equivalent.
• Chartered (or equivalent) membership of relevant professional institution(s) e.g. association of project managers.
• Management successful programmes/P3O/P3M3 accreditation.
• Engages with peers within professional bodies and other forum to maintain professional knowledge and work across industry to advance the profession.
  
  

You’ll also have

• Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
• Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the project controls sector.
• Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
• Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
• Strong business development skills and commercial awareness/acumen (e.g. cross selling Mace services into client organizations).
• Strong understanding of construction and related industry, trends, innovation and associated threats and opportunities.
• Deep domain knowledge of providing PMO and project controls leadership in collaboration with external bodies, professional institutions and peers.
• Experience of working client side as well as consultancy.
• Excellent communicator (verbal and written), relationship manager.
• Confident presenter and public speaker; ability to capture the audience and clearly transmit the position/message.
• Effective appraisal/analytical skills to support skilled negotiations, problem solving, or conflict resolution.
• Developing and maintaining excellent professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Growth mindset that promotes curiosity, high quality contribution and team collaboration.
• Encouraging awareness of colleagues from different technical, social and cultural backgrounds.
• Encouraging sharing of best practice and lesson learnt between teams.
