You’ll Need To Have
Significant experience of effective PMO and project controls leadership on significant/landmark/mega construction projects.
Significant experience of leading the effective deployment of robust PMO and project controls strategies/frameworks and integrated project controls methodologies.
Expert knowledge of risk tools, techniques and software (e.g., MS office and Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6 and RiskHive, @risk, Primavera Risk Analyser).
Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty or ambiguity providing effective consultancy to clients and other key stakeholders to drive effective outcome/s.
Practical application, and understanding of the opportunities related to data analytics and intelligent reporting, Power BI and other reporting suite tools.
Actively supports professional white paper development and review.
Actively promotes business within professional networks both within the UK and globally. (or local equivalent)
Experience of delivering a range of project services on major construction programmes or management consultancy.
Relevant university degree (e.g. construction, engineering) or equivalent.
Chartered (or equivalent) membership of relevant professional institution(s) e.g. association of project managers.
Engages with peers within professional bodies and other forum to maintain professional knowledge and work across industry to advance the profession.
You’ll also have
Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the project controls sector.
Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
Strong commercial and financial acumen.
Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
Strong business development skills and commercial awareness/acumen (e.g. cross selling Mace services into client organizations).
Strong understanding of construction and related industry, trends, innovation and associated threats and opportunities.
Deep domain knowledge of providing PMO and project controls leadership in collaboration with external bodies, professional institutions and peers.
Experience of working client side as well as consultancy.
Excellent communicator (verbal and written), relationship manager.
Confident presenter and public speaker; ability to capture the audience and clearly transmit the position/message.
Effective appraisal/analytical skills to support skilled negotiations, problem solving, or conflict resolution.
Developing and maintaining excellent professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Growth mindset that promotes curiosity, high quality contribution and team collaboration.
Encouraging awareness of colleagues from different technical, social and cultural backgrounds.
Encouraging sharing of best practice and lesson learnt between teams.
