Role Overview And Objectives

The People and Culture Coordinator is responsible for assisting the wider team in process improvement, recruitment and retention, and engagement initiatives to promote Datacom’s internal culture. This role is responsible for ad hoc administrative tasks that assist in delivering the strategy for the people and culture function in line with the broader Datacom direction. This role is customer-centric and supports the People and Culture team to improve overall business functions.

Role Responsibilities

The People and Culture Coordinator is responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Providing first-tier people support across the business.
  • Organizing the administration and coordination of a range of human resource functions including supporting our recruitment, onboarding, learning and diversity and inclusion strategic initiatives.
  • Ensuring people and culture initiatives, processes and compliance to policy across the organization.
  • Delivering day-to-day people and culture activities including mailbox management, onboarding, contractor management and other processes involved in the employee life cycle.
  • Ensuring peoples information is maintained accurately, promptly, and confidentiality is maintained.
  • Ensuring processes and documentation are kept up to date for accuracy - utilizing leading technologies.
  • Assisting in collating and analyzing demographic data and providing recommendations to management on strategies to improve employee engagement.

Requirements

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of employment and industrial relations frameworks.
  • Knowledge of human resource best practice principles, initiatives, and processes.
  • Some knowledge of state, federal, and company compliance.
  • Strong administrative background and business acumen.

Experience

  • Experience supporting the deployment of a range of people-focused initiatives within a varied and complex industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing effective programs that support a positive company culture and employee experience.
  • Experience in identifying, developing, and implementing organizational processes and procedures that ensure efficiency and respond to business demands.

Skills

  • Expertise in MS Office products. A technology adopter.
  • Oracle HR system experience is a plus.
  • Ability to assist with issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors and understanding the needs of the business.
  • Able to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, prioritisation or work and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and team members.
  • Customer centric.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent writing ability and attention to detail.
