Your Role

As a Optical Assistant, you will:

  • Provide expert pre-sales advice on lens selections, coatings, and frame fitment.
  • Interpret and verify complex optical prescriptions to ensure total accuracy before production.
  • Investigate and resolve high-level customer complaints using technical discretion and problem-solving.
  • Manage the full order lifecycle, including refunds, returns, and tracking via ServiceCloud.
  • Collaborate with product teams by providing data-driven feedback on website and range performance.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

  • Deep technical knowledge of single vision, progressive, and bifocal lens parameters.
  • Proven track record in a high-volume customer service or "Patient Care" setting.
  • Advanced proficiency in CRM platforms, specifically ServiceCloud or similar enterprise tools.
  • Exceptional English communication skills to explain technical optical concepts simply.

Preferred Skills/expertise

  • Prior experience in a high-volume "Patient Care" or digital e-commerce customer service setting.
  • Deep knowledge of modern lens technologies, such as blue-light filters, high-index materials, and photochromics.
  • Strong commercial acumen in managing refunds and returns to minimize financial risk to the company.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing and product teams to improve website UX based on customer feedback.
  • Professional certification in opticianry or a related technical field is highly regarded.
