Description

Overview:

The OPERATIONAL RISK SPECIALIST provides support in the implementation of the enterprise-wide Operational Risk Management Framework. He/She will assist in the identification, measurement, monitoring and reporting operational risk exposure of business/function units. He/She will investigate root causes of operational incidents and recommends risk mitigation strategy and controls.

What You Will Do

• Assist in the implementation of the key elements of an effective operational risk management framework and risk monitoring tools (Risk Incident Reporting, Risk Control Self-Assessment, Loss Data Collection and Analysis and Key Risk Indicators)
• Assist in the identification, measurement, monitoring, and control mitigation of operational risks exposure
• Review/assess operational risks embedded in the company policies and procedures, new products and services
• Develop risk limits, new policies and guidelines related to the management of operational risk and other non-financial risks
• Track and monitor operational risk issues for business/function units
• Monitor the regularization or rectification of the cited weaknesses on Risk Management System per BSP’s latest report of examination
• Provide operational risk management training and advice to business units on operational risk management issues
• Aggregate and report operational risk issues to senior management/Risk Management Committee/Board on regular basis
• Execute other duties and functions that may be assigned or delegated from time to time
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Graduate of a 4 year business course or equivalent
• Certification as Risk Analyst or any Operational Risk Course is an advantage
• Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in operational risk management
• Exposure to control environment and processes
