Your Role
The Merchandise Coordinator – Amazon keeps our brand partners' Amazon catalogs accurate, complete and selling. This role executes the day-to-day merchandising work across Seller Central (3P) and Vendor Central (1P): launching new products, building enhanced listing content, keeping live listings healthy, and resolving catalog errors and support cases quickly.
The Coordinator follows BrandJump's Marketplace SOP — Amazon & 3P closely, works from the Amazon Records as the source of truth, and partners with the Marketplace Manager, Brand Managers, Brand Content Managers and our 3P team so every load reaches the site correctly and on time. Prior hands-on Amazon experience is required. It is an execution-focused role for someone who is meticulous, organized, comfortable in large spreadsheets and portals, and who enjoys solving the puzzle when Amazon rejects a file or suppresses a listing.
Duties & Responsibilities
Product Launches & Catalog Setup
- Launch new products on Amazon through flat-file templates, Seller Central / Vendor Central portals and the PIM (RiverSand / Syndigo), making sure every requirement is met before submission
- Build and maintain parent/child variation families so sizes, finishes and colors sit together on one detail page
- Create ASINs and pass them to the 3P team (Belami, ShopFreely, Cymax) through ClickUp when the Amazon Record shows authorized 3P sellers
- Know the difference between our 1P (Vendor Central) and 3P (Seller Central) accounts, and follow the right load path for each brand as noted in the Amazon Record
- Keep the Amazon Record and ClickUp tasks current so the team always sees accurate status
Listing Content
- Generate enhanced listing content for 100% of new SKUs (Amazon-direct and 3P) using our Amazon enhanced-content skill in Claude, then review it against the Content QA checklist before it goes on the template
- Follow our Amazon file house rules so listings aren't rejected or suppressed: no HTML in descriptions, no warranty language in bullets, backend search terms under 240 bytes with no repeated words, and consistent wording across a product family
- Optimize live listings above the fold (titles, bullets, images) as part of catalog-health projects, including Vendor Central clean-ups such as removing model numbers from 1P titles
- Upload A+ Content and load assets into Amazon Brand Store modules once creative is approved, and clear basic image or system errors
Catalog Health & Troubleshooting
- Monitor listing health daily: suppressed, inactive, stranded and non-buyable listings, with priority on inactive items that still have inventory
- Read and resolve Amazon error codes and flat-file processing reports, re-submitting corrected files
- Open, track and follow up on Seller Support and Vendor Central cases, logging case IDs in our trackers and escalating to the Marketplace Manager when a case stalls
- Flag catalog-contribution and brand-authority issues (for example, legacy 1P data overriding our updates) so the Marketplace Manager can work them through Brand Registry
- Run listings, imagery and data audits against the brand's data file and the live detail page, and fix gaps
- Support seasonal readiness (Prime Day, Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday / Cyber Monday) by making sure priority listings are live, buyable and accurate ahead of key dates
Communication & Collaboration
- Work day to day with the Marketplace Manager, who owns Amazon strategy, Brand Registry and the Amazon Records
- Partner with Brand Content Managers so finished content is stored in the PIM, and with Brand Managers on brand-specific priorities
- Speak directly with brand partners about their Amazon merchandising: join Zoom meetings to walk through launches, listing health, open issues and recommendations, and send clear, professional email updates when products go live or projects move forward
- Hand off ASINs and load status to the 3P team so Belami, ShopFreely and Cymax uploads aren't held up
- Communicate clearly and promptly in English, in writing, inside ClickUp and email, following our response norms: half a business day for external messages, one day for internal ones
- Raise questions early. If a record, task or brand requirement is unclear, ask the team distro rather than guessing
Project Management
- Set a weekly agenda in ClickUp every Friday by end of day; check the Marketplace Manager's notes on Monday and adjust priorities if asked (no notes means proceed as planned)
- Track tasks, timelines and time spent per brand accurately in ClickUp
- Manage a high volume of loads and ad-hoc requests across multiple brands, prioritizing by deadline and sales impact
- Meet the KPIs and SLAs set for the Merch team, and suggest process improvements when you see a better way
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Required: 1–3 years of hands-on Amazon merchandising experience. Candidates without direct Amazon Seller Central experience will not be considered; Vendor Central experience is a strong plus
- Working knowledge of flat-file inventory templates, variation (parent/child) setup, browse nodes and ASIN creation
- Experience troubleshooting suppressed or inactive listings and working Seller Support cases through to resolution
- Familiarity with A+ Content, Brand Registry and Brand Stores
- Basic understanding of Amazon SEO and keyword research; Helium 10 or similar tools a plus
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filters, pivot tables, cleaning large data sets)
- Comfortable using AI tools (we use Claude) to draft content, then carefully checking the output
- Experience with a PIM system and a project-management tool such as ClickUp is a plus
- Excellent spoken and written English; confident presenting Amazon merchandising updates to brand clients on Zoom and corresponding with them directly by email
- Highly detail-oriented with strong follow-through; able to work independently across time zones
- Experience with home furnishings, lighting or décor products is a plus
