Key Responsibilities

‍

• ‍Creating technical illustrations for user manuals, either up from scratch or amendments of existing illustrations that communicate this information concisely and accurately ‍
• Create technical drawings for a user manual of assembly or electronic products. These illustrations need to be easy to understand and work as a complement to the writing ‍
• Work closely with the technical writing and coordination team to develop technical drawings and illustrations according to strict guidelines, and/ or packaging designs
  
  

• ‍A technical illustrator is someone who creates illustrations for technical documents or user manuals that are specifically meant to communicate or reiterate the accurate information within the document. ‍
• ‍Technical illustrators work in conjunction with design teams and technical writers to create a variety of technical graphics ‍
• ‍A technical illustrator takes information from text or data and creates illustrations that communicate this information concisely and accurately ‍
• ‍Technical illustrators work with non-technical audiences, so while their imagery needs to be professional, it also needs to reach a variety of audiences and must be easy to understand and follow ‍
• ‍Technical illustrators work with a variety of different software applications including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe lnDesign, and AutoCAD, in order to create specific illustrations ‍
• ‍In essence, they need to be able to bring technical writing to life in a visual way that is easier to understand and follow ‍
• ‍A technical illustrator ideally has a background or experience in engineering, product development or other technical illustration fields ‍

• 1-2 years of relevant working experience in the instructional illustration field ‍
• Higher Diploma or above in Illustration Design or related disciplines ‍
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, lnDesign ‍
• Good command of Cantonese and English ‍
• Visual thinking, initiative, organized and can manage a diversity of projects with a tight schedule ‍
• Great knowledge about turning photos into clear visualized technical illustrations or upgrade existing technical illustrations ‍
• Self-motivated, responsible and a good team player ‍
• Willing to learn and cope with fast pace working culture ‍
• Portfolio links shall be provided in the resume ‍
• Less experienced candidates will consider for Junior position ‍
• Fresh graduate will be also considered ‍
• Immediate availability preferred
