Your Role

As an IT Security Support Analyst, you will:

  • Support cyber security operations while assisting with general IT support tickets and assigned project tasks.
  • Respond to and resolve tickets logged in Jira within agreed SLAs. Monitor, triage, and escalate security alerts from endpoint protection, SIEM, and email security tools.
  • Assist in incident response activities including investigation, evidence gathering, and containment under guidance.
  • Maintain and monitor security controls across Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and on-premise environments.
  • Perform Level 1 security checks such as access reviews, MFA troubleshooting, device compliance validation, and account anomaly checks.
  • Assist in vulnerability management tasks including scanning, remediation tracking, and verification.
  • Coordinate patching, privileged access reviews, and routine security maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support for Retail POS systems and peripherals.
  • Support LAN/WAN connectivity, remote access (VPN/RDP), and endpoint troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, controls, tickets, and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure system stability and service continuity.
  • Participate in business-driven IT projects and initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, users, and vendor partners.
  • Work after hours when required to minimize operational impact during business hours.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

  • Degree or Certificate in IT, Cyber Security, or a related field.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in an IT Security Support Analyst and/or IT Helpdesk Analyst role.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City on a shifting schedule.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security fundamentals, common threats, and cyber hygiene best practices.
  • Experience with endpoint protection/antivirus/EDR tools and basic malware response steps.
  • Knowledge of email security platforms and phishing identification/escalation.
  • Understanding of identity and access management (IAM), MFA, and least-privilege principles.
  • Ability to review, triage, and escalate basic security alerts appropriately.
  • Hands-on experience with remote support tools such as RDP, TeamViewer, VNC, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Windows desktop operating systems and solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and basic administration.
  • Basic understanding of firewall concepts, secure remote access (VPN/RDP), LAN/WAN networking, routers, and switches.
  • Experience using service desk or ticketing tools such as Jira.
  • Strong troubleshooting, issue diagnosis, prioritization, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accurate record-keeping and documentation skills using MS Excel or similar tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work autonomously while maintaining collaborative team behavior.

Preferred Skills/expertise

  • Experience supporting IT environments within a retail POS setting.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Navision/Dynamics business applications.
  • Experience with virtual computing environments.
  • Additional experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Professional IT certifications such as Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE.
