Evaluation of Audiovisual Archives collection of ADB
Summary of Job Description
The intern will
Assess and analyze the current conditions of the ADB Archives Multimedia Collection.
Research on best practices and international standards, and identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement in the management of the ADB Archives Multimedia Collection.
Explore applicable technologies for conversion and storage of digital multimedia.
Carry out any other tasks related to the project as assigned.
Period of Assignment
Duration: 11 weeks
Timing: June 2026 onwards
Location
ADB Headquarters, Manila, Philippines
Expected Outcomes
Assessment report and recommendations on the management and preservation activities of the Archives Multimedia Collection
Propose guidelines and templates (e.g., condition report form, inventory and acquisition form, etc.)
Internship final report and presentation summarizing overall activities conducted during the internship
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in a masters degree or PhD program in Art and Museum Studies, History, Archival Science, Information Science, Film Studies, Audiovisual preservation, or a related field at an institution in an ADB member country.
Relevant Experience and Other Requirements
Experience in research (e.g., in galleries, libraries, archives, museums, etc.)
Experience with archival inventory, categorization, or digital conversion projects is highly desirable
Strong drafting and communication skills in English
Interest in photography and audiovisual media
Prior internship or work experience in international organizations or cultural institutions is desirable
Preferably with 2-3 years relevant professional experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
