Role description:

This role will form an integral part of our Global Excellence Centre (GEC) – Arcadis’ centralized and fully integrated project delivery group. Our GEC is made up of more than 3,000 talented individuals working in offices across Philippines, Romania and India, providing Capability, Capacity and a Competitive Advantage across a wide array of unique projects and services, in collaboration with our global businesses.

Arcadis Philippines office is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our dynamic Workplace team, contributing to a range of high-profile projects.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of workplace test fits, space planning studies, and layout solutions, working under the guidance of senior designers and project leads. Your role involves delivering accurate, efficient, and code‑compliant planning within tight deadlines, helping clients assess feasibility and optimize their space. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as MEP and cost consultants and contribute to improving digital workflows and planning tools.

Role accountabilities:

• Embrace and demonstrate the Arcadis behavioral framework in your day-to-day work.

• Demonstrate the Arcadis behavioral framework in daily work and uphold Health & Safety principles.
• Develop test fits and space planning options under the guidance of senior designers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Arcadis standards.
• Prepare blocking, stacking, and detailed layout plans to support feasibility studies and client presentations.
• Analyze headcount data, departmental adjacencies, and workflow requirements to translate program needs into space solutions.
• Ensure layouts comply with relevant building codes, life safety requirements, and ADA regulations.
• Coordinate with MEP disciplines to ensure proposed layouts are technically feasible.
• Prepare area calculations, furniture layouts, and basic schedules to support cost planning.
• Review own drawings carefully prior to submission to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Support senior team members during client presentations and internal reviews.
• Collaborate effectively with regional teams (primarily North America and Asia) in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Contribute to improving workflows, including digital tools and automation initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Workplace design.
• Solid experience in test-fitting, blocking, and space planning.
• Ability to produce accurate test fits within tight deadlines (24–48 hours preferred).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, working knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
• Familiarity with 3D visualization tools such as SketchUp or Enscape is preferred.
• Working knowledge of commercial building codes, ADA requirements, and space standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maximize space efficiency within constraints.
• Good coordination skills with MEP and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including digital workflows, automation, and AI enables planning tools.
