Instrumentation Supervisor

Engineering, Procurement & Construction phase

Review Clients technical specification documentation and requirements.

Prepare specifications for instruments, systems, supports, and hook up drawings.

Prepare the RFQ for instrumentation and performs the supplier technical evaluations.

Review FAT and SAT

Prepares instrument data sheets and loop diagrams.

Prepare Method statements, ITP and ITR.

Conduct Material inspections at deliveries, and secure approval from the Engineer.

Prepares instrument material take-off and instrument accessories BOQ.

Supervise direct manpower for Instrument installation (supports, transmitters, probes, etc).

Manage subcontractors for instrumentation erection to ensure quality works in line with construction schedule and avoid claims.

Update Instrument supports as per site conditions.

Conduct site inspections according to ITP for E.I.A equipment. Secure Engineer approvals.

Coordinate with Subcontractor and Engineer for inspections, prepare Request-for-inspections.

Record all non-conformities and non-quality costs, generate reports.

Update instrument detail design on P&IDs (as-builts).

Compile punch list for erection.

Support Elec Supervisors, Mechanical & Piping as necessary.

Provide updates for weekly reports with KPIs, Excel CFT (Construction Follow-up tool).

Pre- Commissioning & Commissioning phase

Ensure proper installation of the instrument’s transmitters & sensors prior to energization as per suppliers manuals.

Responsible to perform the whole plant instrumentation pre-commissioning including (but not limited to) energization, full device set-up & configuration, establishment of communication with PLC/DCS via Profibus/Hardwire & Calibration during pre-com at the field and in the central SCADA system as perprocess requirements and following suppliers manuals.

Responsible for the coordination with the instrument suppliers as required during the Pre-commissioning stage in strict compliance with the Commissioning manager’s directions.

Ensure full accuracy of all instruments (incl. calibration campaigns) at start-up during the Process commissioning & TOP (with Raw water)

Take the lead to organize Preventive & Corrective maintenance during the Process commissioning & TOP (with Raw water)

Responsible for the planning and provision of all necessary chemical reagents for the instrumentations PM & CM (Incl. communication with dedicated suppliers)

Be pro-active to optimize the plant instrumentation operation to ensure optimized performance with minimal costs.

Compile punch list for commissioning.

Participate to any other related pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks as per Commissioning manager requirements.

O&M phase (PPP)

Organize the Preventive & Corrective maintenance of the plant instrumentation (planning, procedures (SOP) & Execution)

Responsible for the planning and provision of all necessary chemical reagents for the instrumentations PM & CM (Incl. communication with dedicated suppliers)

Training to PPP operators and MWCI personnel.

Health & Safety

Follow HSE procedures and be proactive for Safety.

Prepare permit to work.
