Head Research And Strategy

The Head Research & Strategy is responsible for providing innovative, accurate and value-added research in terms of company/sector, macro-economy, quantitative analysis both local and global, to support BPI Wealth’s initiatives to diversify and expand investment outlets. It is also their responsibility to provide value-added research to be used in tactical and strategic asset allocation.

Responsibilities

• Review all investment proposals for new accreditation prior to presentation to the Investment Committee and Wealth Board for approval.
• Oversee the annual review of all investment outlets.
• Oversee the creation of timely and innovative new research pertaining to company/sector, thematic, macro-economy and quant analysis.
• Provide insightful, comprehensive and accurate macroeconomic presentations to support the research-related requirements of internal clients, primarily the strategic and tactical investment decisions of the Investment Committee and also external clients. The latter, designed to support the sales team in its presentations as required.
• Assist Portfolio Managers in making accurate calls on the market and economy to support generation of above benchmark returns/performance
• Oversee the preparation of fixed income/equity/macro research-related requirements on an ad hoc basis, e.g., press statement, pitches for awards, etc.
• Perform additional tasks/projects as assigned by BPI Wealth senior management
  
  

• Master’s degree (MBA, MSc, or PhD) in: Finance, Economics, Business Administration
• Quantitative Finance / Data Analytics
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
• Professional certifications (preferred): CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
• FRM (Financial Risk Manager)
• CPA / ACCA (if relevant to banking finance strategy)
