HEAD INVESTMENT RESEARCH AND STRATEGY

The Head of Investment Research and Strategy is responsible for providing innovative, accurate and value-added research in terms of company/sector, macro-economy, quantitative analysis both local and global, to support BPI Wealth’s initiatives to diversify and expand investment outlets. It is also their responsibility to provide value-added research to be used in tactical and strategic asset allocation.

Responsibilities

• Reviews all investment proposals for new accreditation prior to presentation to the Investment Committee and Wealth Board for approval
• Oversees the annual review of all investment outlets
• Oversees the creation of timely and innovative new research pertaining to company/sector, thematic, macro-economy and quant analysis
• Provides insightful, comprehensive and accurate macroeconomic presentations to support the research-related requirements of internal clients, primarily the strategic and tactical investment decisions of the Investment Committee and also external clients
• Assists Portfolio Managers in making accurate calls on the market and economy to support generation of above benchmark returns/performance
• Oversees the preparation of fixed income/equity/macro research-related requirements on an ad hoc basis, e.g., press statement, pitches for awards, etc.
  
  

• Business course graduate; preferably with MBA/Masters in Economics, Finance, CFA
• With prior experience in fixed income, equities and research work
• Proficiency in computer application (MS Word / Excel/Powerpoint/Bloomberg)
• Good grasp of economic and finance
