About Our Client

Our client, Kasada, is a fast-growing cybersecurity company headquartered in Sydney, specialising in advanced bot-mitigation technology that protects millions of users globally. Kasada operates in a mission-driven, high-trust environment where innovation, ownership, and bold thinking are encouraged. Recognised internationally as a great place to work, Kasada offers strong psychological safety, supportive leadership, and clear growth pathways across technical, craft, and leadership tracks. With competitive compensation, wellbeing benefits, and meaningful recognition, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact while helping shape the future of online security.

The Role

As Group Finance Manager, you will lead statutory and regulatory financial reporting across all jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and corporate requirements. You will manage external audits end-to-end, including the preparation of audit deliverables, responding to audit queries, and continuously improving audit readiness. The role also involves maintaining and implementing technical accounting policies aligned with both statutory and corporate standards.

You will oversee core transactional finance activities, including the processing of customer invoices. This includes coordinating with internal teams, communicating with customers, and submitting invoices through customer portals to ensure accurate and timely billing.

The role has full ownership of the month-end close process, from preparing and reviewing journal entries to maintaining ledgers, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing cash flow statements. You will be responsible for delivering monthly reporting packs to leadership and ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial data within the general ledger.

Payroll oversight is a key component of this position. You will manage the Australian payroll process in compliance with relevant employment and payroll regulations and work closely with the People & Culture team to oversee the US outsourced payroll provider, ensuring accurate and on-time processing.

You will also support intercompany, tax, and compliance activities, including preparing intercompany transfer pricing invoices in line with global tax frameworks. The role involves assisting with corporate tax, GST/Sales Tax, payroll tax, and R&D tax obligations, as well as collaborating with global tax advisors and external consultants when required.

A strong focus of the role is continuous improvement. You will support finance system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and automation initiatives, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, controls, and scalability across accounting and reporting processes.

In addition, you will prepare quarterly commission calculations, coordinate reviews and approvals with stakeholders, and provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support leadership decision-making. Collaboration across teams is essential to ensure accurate financial outcomes and alignment across the business.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), or holds an equivalent international qualification, with approximately 7–10+ years of experience in accounting or finance. Experience in SaaS, technology, or high-growth environments is highly regarded.

You bring strong technical accounting expertise, particularly in AASB/IFRS, along with proven experience managing month-end close processes, statutory reporting, and external audits. Exposure to multi-entity and multi-currency environments is essential, as is hands-on experience with payroll, tax compliance, and intercompany transactions.

Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP and financial reporting systems are required, along with experience supporting or leading system implementations and process improvement initiatives. You are highly detail-oriented, well organised, and able to manage competing priorities effectively. A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach will enable you to succeed in this role.
