Role description:

We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

Role accountabilities:

• Follow established procedures to undertake basic cost and commercial tasks (e.g., identify variances between planned and incurred costs) and promptly notify senior colleagues of discrepancies so management has accurate, up-to-date information for decision-making.
• Support construction cost management assignments by executing practical tasks and coordinating with senior specialists to ensure work programmes and project milestones are met.
• Collect, validate and prepare supporting documentation (schedules, feasibility studies, cost reports) to provide senior management with high-quality information.
• Apply practical methods and technical knowledge to resolve routine cost/commercial issues in a timely manner, escalating complex matters to senior staff as required.
• Comply with risk and compliance requirements, taking standard corrective actions or reporting unsafe/inappropriate situations to protect assignment delivery.
• Monitor and review cost and commercial processes, share knowledge and feedback, and provide advice on straightforward stakeholder queries to help improve systems and service quality.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Practical knowledge of construction processes and cost/commercial management, with developing commercial and organisational awareness.
• Strong communication and stakeholder liaison skills with peers and immediate seniors.
• Logical approach with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage own time against broad schedules.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.
• Proficiency in common cost and commercial management software and systems (e.g., CostX).
