At Pete Olson Injury Law, we are unwavering in our dedication to fighting for the rights of injured victims throughout Tennessee. With over three decades of experience, our firm has established a reputation for excellence and compassion in personal injury law. We exclusively represent plaintiffs in cases involving car accidents, medical malpractice, and other tragic incidents. Our approach is deeply personal, meeting clients in their homes or at their bedside, ensuring every case is handled with the care and dedication it deserves.

Founded on the GET PETE! promise, we pride ourselves on our honesty, toughness, and experience. Our team of seasoned attorneys and paralegals is committed to defending our clients rights and securing the compensation they need to rebuild their lives. We are not just a firm that wins cases; we are a team that stands by our clients every step of the way, forging lifelong relationships based on trust and transparency.

We are seeking a skilled Legal Assistant to play a crucial role in streamlining our legal drafting processes. This position exists to alleviate the heavy drafting workload from our lead paralegal, allowing the team to operate efficiently and proactively. By ensuring timely and precise legal documentation, you will significantly impact our ability to serve clients effectively and uphold our commitment to justice.

What you’ll do:

  • Complaint Drafting: Produce first drafts of complaints for 10-20 new cases monthly using provided templates and documents.
  • Requests for Admissions: Convert complaints into Requests for Admissions, maintaining high accuracy and consistency.
  • Motion Practice Support: Draft and respond to motions, reducing attorney drafting time while ensuring all documents meet firm standards.
  • Legal Research: Conduct jurisdiction and procedural law research to support pleadings and legal strategies.
  • Medical Record Review: Summarize medical records to extract pertinent information for case preparation.
  • General Drafting Support: Assist with dictation drafting to optimize the litigation workflow and increase overall efficiency.
  • Process-Driven Drafting: Operate in a fully backend role using structured templates and proven formats to produce consistent, high-quality legal documents across similar case types.

What we’re looking for:

  • Legal Background: Possess advanced paralegal experience or a foreign law degree with a strong emphasis on legal drafting.
  • Strong Legal Writing: Demonstrate the ability to draft structured and precise legal documents independently.
  • High Volume Output: Capable of producing a high volume of work quickly while maintaining quality standards.
  • English Proficiency: Strong command of written and spoken English with excellent communication skills.
  • Independent Execution: Able to work with minimal supervision and make informed decisions.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous precision in legal drafting to ensure client success and compliance.
  • Structured Processes and Work: Comfortable working within repeatable systems and templates, producing consistent output across similar case types.
  • Remote Work Readiness: Able to work independently in a remote environment, maintaining consistent productivity, reliability, and clear communication without the need for close supervision.

Why you should work here:

  • Professional Growth: Develop your skills by starting with drafting complaints and expanding to motion drafting and legal research.
  • Meaningful Impact: Directly contribute to improving case velocity and client satisfaction by freeing up experienced team members.
  • Close Leadership Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, including the lead paralegal and attorney, gaining valuable insights into U.S. PI litigation practice.
  • Supportive Environment: Be part of a cohesive, tight-knit team that values respect, long-term fit, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Compensation: $1,500 - $2,500 monthly

Join Pete Olson Injury Law and make a significant impact in a role that values precision, efficiency, and client dedication. If you meet our criteria and are ready to take on this pivotal position, we invite you to apply and help us continue our mission of advocacy and justice. We look forward to welcoming you to our team.
