FOREIGN TRADER

Job Summary

The Fixed Income Trader is responsible for contributing to the Bank's foreign currency denominated securities trading revenue targets through the proprietary trading of government-issued cash bonds (G7 and Australia/New Zealand), sovereign bonds, and credit instruments. The role supports the Fixed Income Trading team by formulating market views and trading strategies, assisting in inventory management, providing market analysis and investment recommendations, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The position plays a critical role in generating trading gains, supporting client servicing activities, and contributing to the overall performance of the Treasury business.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute proprietary trading of foreign currency fixed income securities, including G7, Australia/New Zealand government bonds, sovereign bonds, and credit instruments across primary and secondary markets to achieve revenue targets.
• Develop market views and trading strategies across rates, sovereign, and credit markets through analysis of credit spreads, basis trades, yield curves, and fixed income structures.
• Conduct technical, fundamental, and macroeconomic analysis to identify trading opportunities and support investment decisions.
• Assist in inventory and portfolio management by monitoring positions, assessing risks, and optimizing performance within approved limits.
• Prepare market outlooks, investment recommendations, and market intelligence to support trading decisions and Treasury objectives.
  
  

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Master's Degree or graduate-level certification in Finance, Economics, Investments, Treasury, or related disciplines is preferred.
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)
• SEC-Certified Fixed Income Salesman
