Overview

The Financial Controller / Associate Finance Director will be responsible for oversight of

Singapore media finance operations. This role supervises a Finance team based in the Philippines to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all financial processes, including billing, revenue recognition, and month-end closing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, guide, and review the work of a Finance team across all media finance
• operations.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in billing, revenue recognition, and WIP management.
• Oversee the month-end closing process, including journal entries and reconciliations,
• ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Review credit notes, financial adjustments, and other accounting entries.
• Standardize and streamline financial processes across business units to improve
• efficiency and control.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to company
• accounting policies and procedures.
• Lead regular WIP meetings with business and finance stakeholders.
• Oversee client, internal, and external audit processes and ensure audit readiness of all
• documentation.
• Strengthen internal control frameworks and maintain compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with System support team to enhance systems, automation, and reporting
• capabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and
• data integrity within financial operations.
  
  

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or related professional qualification
• Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or
• managerial role.
• Prior experience in the media, advertising or agency industry is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability in financial control and process improvement
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Hands-on, detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic
• environment.
