Your Role
The Senior Financial Accountant is a key person to lead and manage the Finance Team. This role is responsible to ensure the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and preparation of financial and statutory reporting.
In This Role You Will
Attend weekly Finance Team meeting to communicate and plan upcoming workload. Provide a forum to discuss, support and resolve operational issues with the team.
Provide day to day support to process AP, AR, Payroll and General Ledger transactions
Preparation of timely and accurate financial reports
Finalize the annual financial statements within 3 months of the end of the financial year.
Lodge reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and process payment of:
PAYG Withholding
Income Tax
BAS
Payroll Tax
Superannuation
What You Need
Non-negotiables
Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or Accounting.
CPA / CA qualification highly regarded
6+ years finance experience in FMCG or agribusiness.
Must have AU accounting experience
Advanced Excel proficiency, Xero, and SAP
Excellent knowledge of IFRS and debits/credits; ability to demonstrate transaction flows from P&L and Balance Sheet to trial balance
Supervisory experience/People management experience of at least 2–3 years and is confident in managing a team
Sound working knowledge of Australian statutory financial reporting obligations and accounting standards.
Experienced in leading small teams to manage day to day finance operations.
Relationship management skills with the ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in Power Query
Thrive working in a fast paced and dynamic environment with a can-do attitude.
A current drivers licence.
Proven ability to develop and implement successful commercial strategies.
Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
