Meet CCF Life Academy Foundation Inc.

The CCF Life Academy Foundation Inc. (CCF LAFI) is an initiative born from the ministry of Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF). The foundation has a vision to significantly expand its educational footprint across the Philippines. It aims to establish an ecosystem of high-caliber international schools, building upon the successful model currently operating through Life Academy International (LAI). This endeavor is deeply rooted in the Christian faith and driven by the core belief, shared with CCF, that education is a powerful tool for shaping future generations of leaders who are not only academically excellent but also deeply grounded in their faith and committed to living out Christian values.

LAI currently stands as a testament to the foundation’s commitment to nurturing holistically developed, Christ-like individuals. LAI is a Christ-centered K-12 learning institution located in Pasig City, Philippines, operated under Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF) and deeply rooted in biblical truths. It aims to seamlessly combine rigorous academic standards with a strong foundation in Christian character and values. LAI’s foundational mission is “To raise Christ-honoring individuals in key spheres of influence through transformative education”. Its vision is “To be a learning ecosystem with the highest degree of excellence grounded on a biblical worldview, transforming individuals, families, communities, and nations”. LAI offers academic programs including the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the Cambridge Program. The school is currently working towards international accreditation with ACSI and WASC.

The CCF Life Academy Foundation is actively implementing a strategy to establish an integrated system of Christian schools across the Philippines to achieve its vision. This system encompasses schools designed to serve a variety of contexts and demographics.

A System Services team will support all schools and campuses, functioning similarly to a school district model, and reports to the Executive Director of CCF LAFI. CCF LAFI’s core values are Love and Leadership, Integrity and Innovation, Faith in Jesus Christ, and Excellence. These values are integrated into all aspects of school life. CCF LAFI is currently undergoing significant expansion and development across its integrated school system.

About the Director of Human Resources

CCF Life Academy Foundation Inc. (CCF LAFI) seeks a passionate and experienced Director of Human Resources to lead and cultivate a thriving, Christ-centered workplace culture. This pivotal role strategically aligns human resources functions with CCF LAFI’s mission, ensuring a spiritually nurturing, legally compliant, and high-performing environment for all staff. The Director will champion servant leadership, foster spiritual growth, and oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition and development to support for our international and local staff community.

The Director of Human Resources’ responsibilities include:

Strategic Leadership & Culture

• Serve as a visible exemplar of Christ-centered servant leadership, actively fostering spiritual growth and commitment among all staff and students through prayer, mentorship, and integration of faith in workplace practices.
• Champion and guard CCF LAFI’s unique culture, ensuring it reflects the school’s mission and values in daily interactions and policies.
• Implement and promote the “Peace Pursuit” framework for conflict resolution, emphasizing reconciliation and biblical peacemaking principles.
• Develop and support initiatives that enhance staff spiritual well-being and a sense of community.

HR Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies that are fully integrated with LAI’s strategic goals and objectives.
• Provide expert HR guidance and support to the Senior School Leadership Council (SSC) on critical people-related decisions.
• Lead and manage the HR department budget effectively and efficiently, in collaboration with the Director of Finance and under the Executive Director’s direction.
• Utilize HR analytics and data to inform decision-making, improve HR processes, and measure the impact of HR initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate potential HR-related legal and operational risks.

Talent Management

• Oversee and centralize the entire talent acquisition process, from strategic sourcing (including international recruitment for expat and local teachers) to effective interviewing, selection, and onboarding. Act as a key gatekeeper to ensure alignment with CCF LAFI’s mission and requirements.
• Develop and implement robust new staff host and mentor programs in partnership with the Principal and SSC members to ensure seamless integration and support for new employees, particularly expats.
• Design, implement, and manage performance management systems that provide consistent, fair, and growth-oriented evaluations, supporting Principals in their staff development efforts.
• Develop and execute succession planning initiatives to identify and nurture internal talent for future leadership roles, in collaboration with academic and administrative leadership.
• Foster high levels of employee engagement through targeted initiatives that boost morale, enhance retention, and improve productivity.

Compensation, Benefits & Compliance

• Develop, implement, and administer competitive and equitable compensation structures, benefits programs, and reward systems, working closely with the Director of Finance and with Executive Director’s approval.
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, including those related to equal employment opportunity, safety, and health standards in the Philippine context.
• Create, update, and disseminate HR policies, procedures, and guidelines that are clear, compliant, and reflective of organizational needs and the Executive Director’s vision.

Staff Support & Relations

• Proactively manage employee relations, effectively addressing grievances, disputes, and disciplinary matters with a focus on fairness, biblical principles, and positive resolution.
• Ensure all staff, both expat and local, feel valued, safe, and well-supported, providing guidance and assistance on matters related to living and working internationally.
• Oversee HR-related aspects of accreditation processes (ACSI, WASC), ensuring all documentation and practices meet required standards.
• Support staff through the off-boarding process when they transition out of the organization.

Other Duties

• Undertake other administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director.
• Represent LAI at relevant events, potentially including international recruitment fairs (e.g., in the US, Australia, Korea).

Qualifications

• A deep and evident personal commitment to the Christian faith, with a strong understanding of and enthusiastic alignment with LAI’s mission to glorify God through Christian education.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant area or recognized HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) are strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Demonstrated experience in a Christian organization, ministry, or international school setting is highly desirable.
• Proven experience leading teams with a Christ-centered approach, emphasizing humility, service, and the development of others.
• Experience in mentoring and discipling employees, actively supporting their spiritual formation and growth.
• Proficiency in conflict resolution with a demonstrated ability to apply biblical principles of reconciliation and peacemaking.
• A clear understanding of the strategic role of HR in supporting the broader ministry goals of a Christian organization.
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain all necessary Philippine government requirements for employment at LAI.
• Agreement to abide by and uphold the decisions and policies of the LAI Board and administration.
• Understanding of the unique dynamics and challenges of international Christian schools.
• Possession of a genuine missional mindset and a heart for serving in a cross-cultural context.
• Significant international experience, including living, working, or traveling extensively abroad, is essential.
• Experience with educational accreditation processes (ACSI, WASC) is highly beneficial.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and cross-cultural skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
