Digital Production Associate

Devex is looking for a creative, detail-savvy digital producer who thrives at the intersection of journalism, design, and virtual events.

As a Digital Production Associate, you’ll help power our coverage of the sustainable development goals from climate and health to food systems and gender equality through high-impact digital content and compelling virtual experiences. This is an ideal role for someone who’s part content nerd, part production wizard, and 100% mission-driven.

You’ll be part of the team that brings our stories and events to life online, producing daily newsletters, managing article publication and promotion, and supporting the execution of live virtual events that feature global development leaders, policymakers, and changemakers.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Editorial Production

• Build, publish, and optimize daily newsletters — including layout, formatting, and performance tracking — to keep our audience engaged and informed.
• Prepare and publish news articles with responsibilities including copy formatting, photo sourcing, tagging, and styling in line with our editorial guidelines.
• Maintain and update key areas of the Devex website, including article landing pages and post-event content hubs.

Visuals & Design

• Create simple editorial visual assets (charts, graphs, social graphics) using tools like Canva, Figma, or Photoshop to enhance content appeal.
• Design assets for event promotion and production — from on-screen graphics to marketing templates — with a clear, consistent brand voice.

Virtual Event Production

• Manage the technical execution of virtual events using platforms such as Zoom, YouTube, Vimeo, and other tools.
• Set up event back-end per detailed run of show
• Play slides and graphics
• Spotlight speakers
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real time
• Lead tech checks with high-level speakers ahead of events, ensuring audio-visual quality and comfort with the production flow.
• Provide guidance on camera framing and lighting
• Walk speakers through the run of show
• Maintain a confident, professional presence that instills confidence and reflects well on Devex

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work closely with editorial, partnerships, social media, and marketing teams to ensure strong alignment between content and events.
• Contribute ideas on how to boost visibility and impact for the content and events you help produce.

• What We’re Looking For
• 1-3 years of experience in digital content production, editorial publishing, or virtual event coordination

• Comfortable working with CMS platforms and email tools (Marketo or similar)

• Basic visual design and video editing skills

• A knack for organizing details and juggling multiple timelines

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Calm under pressure — especially when a livestream goes live

• Enthusiasm for the global development space and the big issues shaping our world

This role is a remote position and the salary range will be based on

the candidate’s location and market rates to align with Devex’s global
