Job title: Demand Planner

Reports to: Sub-Region Planning Manager

Location: Manila

Position Summary

This role is responsible for generating and maintaining demand plan across a 36-month horizon in Advance Planning Tool (IBP). Works closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance, to support and develop accurate demand forecasts. Reviews plans and conducts trend analysis, identifies opportunities and risks, effectively communicates to supply planners, and works closely with sub-region team for base as well as the upside and downside versions of the forecast.

Reporting to: Sub-Region Planning Manager

The Role

  • Lead the Monthly Demand Review Meeting for sub-regions with key stakeholders to get the 36-month Unconstrained Final Consensus Demand Plan. Participate in and contribute to monthly S&OP meetings to refine demand plan for supply chain inventory and production planning.
  • Set up and maintain the master data in IBP Demand Planning tool for assigned products and regions to provide an accurate forecast and ensure data integrity.
  • Maintain and select statistical forecast models and adjust the outliers from the actual sales history.
  • Document and challenge forecast assumptions based on process input analysis, forecast modelling and monthly updates. Provide root-cause analysis to problem solve and seek resolution to issues preventing stability in demand plan.
  • Review and dissect forecasts, conduct trend analysis, identify opportunities and risks, effectively communicate to supply planners, and update the Upside and Downside Versions in IBP.
  • Leads the weekly demand S&OE for the sub-regions
  • Highlight potential supply chain issues based on demand planning variances and communicate potential inventory and service impacts in a timely manner.
  • Develop and analyze key performance indicators to continuously improve the quantitative and qualitative insights and consensus demand plans.
  • Provide support on Product Lifecycle Process including New Product Introduction, Portfolio optimization and Rationalization to reflect and update on the Demand Plans.
  • Coordinate with commercial team to ensure Indent sales orders are placed on time.
  • Collaborates with sub-regional Finance team to ensure alignment of financial forecast and commercial forecast.

The Candidate

  • BA/BS in business, supply chain, Statistics, engineering or related fields
  • APICS or IBF certification is a plus
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in supply chain management, preferably in demand analysis/planning
  • Understanding of all supply chain elements, including manufacturing, procurement, production planning and scheduling, inventory management, distribution, and customer service.
  • ERP experience is required (SAP preferred)
  • Direct experience in a planning role along with advanced planning system experience required.
  • High level proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Able to manage work using data and metrics. Owns and utilize KPIs to manage process and drive improvement, including ensuring valid planning metric feedback is delivered every cycle to stakeholders.
  • Capable to facilitate meetings with appropriate stakeholders, such as commercial, manufacturing, procurement and/other planning members.
  • Able to periodically review constraints and facilitate discussion with stakeholders to identify options for improvement.
  • Ability to support and/or lead small scale projects or initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities
  • Demonstrates results through a proactive nature.
