Build, administer and support DataOps infrastructure using GitLab and AWS cloud.
Build, administer and support DataOps CI/CD workflows providing process integration, automation and enhancement to enable cross-functional collaboration, shorten release cycles and improve system reliability.
Provide subject matter expertise for developments and operational improvements in the Flybuys Data Platform through contributions to technical and business discussions and requirements and the creation of data transformation patterns and standards.
Drive ongoing enhancements to the DataOps framework for our data engineering squad.
Assist our QA team and suggest improvements for managing and automating test activities at various SDLC stages to improve quality.
Work to ensure systems meet compliance standards and can be accepted to transition across to our support teams.
Work with the team to prioritize competing requests from various squads to support the long-term development and vision of our DataOps capability.
Ability to articulate and communicate with both business and technical stakeholders around the DataOps team and current work.
Provide mentorship, coordination, reporting and escalation around DataOps performance, development and processes.
Lead prioritization, coordination and triage of incidents, ad-hoc requests and other work items for the DataOps team.
Lead Offshore DataOps engineers to build a high performing team
Build or maintain Observability tools to validate the performance of the data platform and provide visibility to stakeholders.
Any other accountability or deliverable as assigned from time to time by management
Requirements
Strong understanding of data management principles and practices, including data warehousing, data modelling, and data governance.
Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Dagster, or Shipyard.
Proficiency in data integration and ETL processes.
Familiarity with CI/CD principles and practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
A desire to stay hands-on and connected to data and software engineering practices.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (like AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their services is crucial for building scalable and reliable data infrastructure.
Understanding data privacy laws, regulatory requirements, and ensuring data handling within the organization complies with these standards.
Proficient in scripting languages (Python, etc.) and automation tools to streamline data pipelines and workflows.
Implementing automated testing and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Managing infrastructure through code, enabling automation and reproducibility.
Collaboration and Communication: Fostering a collaborative environment between data engineers, scientists, and business analysts.
Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Analyzing complex issues, identifying bottlenecks, and developing effective solutions.
Driving a culture of continuous learning and improvement in data processes.
Effectively communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Utilizing data to make informed decisions and drive business outcomes.

Ensure regular in-person engagement with team members in order to closely collaborate around delivery challenges
Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, set clear objectives, and support professional development for team members.
Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering, design to deployment.
Provide visibility to senior management on delivery status, risks, issues and milestones.
Manage multiple development workstreams, ensuring alignment with revenue forecasts.
Work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align technical requirements with business needs.
Collaborate with quality assurance, infrastructure, architecture and other departments for seamless delivery execution.
Implement and enforce best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance, in line with Totalmobile standard processes.
Support the team in resolving technical issues and making informed decisions to ensure project success.
Assume overall responsibility for the timely delivery and quality of the Organise product
Act as a Scrum Master, driving Agile practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
