We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer specialising in data engineering and modelling. You’ll design, build, and optimise data pipelines and models embedded directly into EROAD’s analytics platform, transforming datasets into trusted, high-value assets for decision-making. Working in a pragmatic, agile team of talented data engineers, analytics specialists, cloud developers, and product managers, you’ll be part of an environment that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build, and optimise data models and pipelines using Snowflake and dbt, applying strong SQL and software engineering skills (Java, Python, Scala).
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate requirements and business logic into validated datasets and models.
• Use leading AWS services such as ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, Kinesis, Glue, EMR, Athena, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SNS, and SQS in data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Git-based workflows, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to ensure automation, scalability, and quality.
• Implement data quality, lineage tracking, and governance across data products.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives, proof-of-concepts, and continuous improvements in processes, tooling, and practices.
  
  

• 5+ years’ experience in Data Engineering, with Java development skills and application support experience.
• Proven ability to support cloud-native applications and analytical pipelines within microservices/data architectures.
• Strong expertise in streaming and batch ETL/ELT pipelines, advanced SQL, RESTful APIs integration, and dimensional modelling.
• Experience integrating automated testing at multiple levels and partnering with technical/non-technical stakeholders to deliver business value.
• Desireable: Front-end JavaScript skills with React/Redux, Power BI modelling skills.
