Position Summary
The D365 Application Developer role will sit within the Application Delivery team in IT and will
be accountable for the application development and delivery activities (design, implement and support)
across a number of key applications, supporting the organisation in growing its systems capabilities at Red
Cross.
Position Duties
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Development & Configuration
- Deliver high-quality development across D365 modules including Customer Insight Journeys, Sales, Fundraising & Engagement.
- Build and maintain customisations including plugins, JavaScript, Ribbon Workbench, Power Automate flows, and model-driven app components.
- Implement Azure-based integrations such as Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and API Management.
- Build and maintain Canvas and Model-Driven apps using Power Platform components.
Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) & Roadmap
- Contribute to lifecycle planning and application roadmap development.
- Evaluate Microsoft release waves; assess impacts and plan upgrades accordingly.
- Maintain healthy application assets including solutions, integrations, workflows, and configurations.
- Support structured ALM processes across development, QA, UAT, and production environments.
Environment Management
- Manage Dataverse environments, including solution deployment, security roles, and data policies.
- Ensure correct environment setup, configuration, and capacity monitoring.
- Maintain environment governance and stability across all tiers.
Service Delivery & Operational Support
- Provide Level 2/3 support for D365 applications, ensuring incidents and requests meet agreed service levels.
- Coordinate with Level 1 support teams and external service providers to resolve issues.
- Minimise business impact by proactively managing defects, performance issues, and outages.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
DevOps, Testing & CI/CD
- Use Azure DevOps Repos for source control and backlog management.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for solution deployments.
- Conduct peer reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT processes.
- Maintain documentation including technical specifications, release notes, and support guides.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Provide expert advice on D365 capabilities and best-practice usage.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Selection Criteria
- Proven experience developing in Dynamics 365 and Power Platform environments.
- Strong technical skills in plugins, JavaScript, Dataverse, Power Automate, and Model-Driven App development.
- Experience implementing Azure integrations (Function Apps, Logic Apps, API Management).
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and ALM best practices.
- Demonstrated experience supporting D365 applications and meeting SLAs across Level 1 – 3 support tiers.
- Experience managing and maintaining Dataverse environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor ’ s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- 3 – 5+ years experience working with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud technologies (Azure).
