Responsibilities

• Design Engineer convert sales order sketches and customer concept drawing into a package of specifications and drawings that allows Walpole manufacturing and vendors to produce the concept in a cost effective and efficient manner. The Engineer will work in concert with Design Consultants, Estimating, Production, and Purchasing to ensure that the customers vision is produced appropriately
  
  

Job Duties

• Assist sales effort with pre-order illustrations
• Analyze orders for proper material, quantity, and use. Revise as necessary
• Source/requisition unique vendor items
• Communicate with Sales staff and clients to solve specific and unique questions
• Consult with Estimating to ensure final production scope matches estimating concept
• Draw construction details as necessary
• Provide unique solutions to design issues following best practices for manufacture
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Personal Interest in Product
• Minimum 2 years' experience in AutoCAD, version 2017 to current
• Mechanical Engineering/Architectural College level education or 4 years' experience in a similar field
• Ability to sketch/illustrate ideas by hand
• Ability to read and understand construction documents, architects plans, and project specs.
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Positive outlook
• Computer and CRM Proficiency
