BIM Coordinator - Data Center

Role Description:

The role applies technical engineering skills in a BIM environment for large projects, leading teams in model and drawing production while coordinating with managers and discipline leads. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements, managing coordination and clash resolution, supporting BIM Execution Plans, and assisting in multi‑discipline BIM delivery.

Role Accountabilities:

• Deliver BIM-based engineering outputs on small, medium, and complex projects using advanced technical expertise.
• Communicate regularly with the BIM Manager and provide project status reports.
• Delegate workload to BIM modellers across disciplines.
• Mentor BIM modelers by providing technical support, answering queries, and delivering advanced BIM guidance.
• Lead coordination, clash detection, reporting, and resolution.
• Support engineers with drawing standards and BIM software usage.
• Oversee project workflows, escalate issues, and ensure adherence to BIM Execution Plans and standards.
• Develop and implement standard processes and workflows to improve service delivery efficiency.
• Perform QA/QC to ensure delivery models comply with project, company, and client EIR requirements, as well as BIM Standards, BIM Execution Plans, and ISO 19650.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture, or equivalent BIM-related technical certification.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience delivering multi‑discipline BIM projects using industry-standard BIM platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ACC, Bluebeam, Dynamo (Civil 3D), Inventor, and Navisworks.
• Working knowledge of ProjectWise, 12D Synergy, InfraWorks, and Python is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience supporting projects in the Australian and/or Canadian markets.
• Proven experience in land development projects, including roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and regions.
