Your Role

We’re looking for a web developer who’s fluent in WordPress and HubSpot CMS, but who also knows how to step outside no-code tools when the design or user experience demands more. We don’t build dead, brochure-style websites. We build sites that feel alive—through motion, micro-interactions, thoughtful transitions, and dynamic behavior that actually improves how people experience the site.

You’ll work closely with our designer to turn high-fidelity designs into real, working websites that match the vision as closely as possible. That means more than stacking sections. It means understanding intent—how things should move, react, and feel. Sometimes page builders will be enough. Other times, you’ll need to write custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to make the design work the way it was meant to.

We’re a small team right now: a designer and a marketing lead. That means less bureaucracy, more trust, and real ownership over what you build—from first draft to launch and beyond.

As An Associate Web Developer You Will

  • You’ll build and launch websites using WordPress (Elementor Pro, Gutenberg or other page builders) and HubSpot CMS, based on high-fidelity designs.
  • You’ll add animations, transitions, hover states, and micro-interactions to make sites feel dynamic and intentional.
  • You’ll write custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript when builders can’t deliver what the design or UX requires.
  • You’ll create features like filtering systems, dynamic sections, and interactive components.
  • You’ll maintain and improve existing sites by fixing bugs, refining UX, and improving performance.
  • You’ll also handle the technical side of launches: managing hosting environments, configuring domains and DNS, setting up SSL, and making sure everything goes live smoothly. We currently use Bluehost for WordPress, and you’ll help manage that and any future hosting setups.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with the designer and marketing lead to plan features, timelines, and improvements.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

  • Experience Level: A few years of real-world experience building and launching websites. Pure entry-level or early-junior candidates are not recommended as the role requires independent build capability.
  • Platform Fluency: Proficiency in WordPress (including Elementor Pro, Gutenberg, or other page builders) and HubSpot CMS.
  • Core Technical Skills: Mastery of front-end fundamentals—HTML, CSS, and JavaScript—with the ability to write custom code when no-code tools are insufficient.
  • Launch & Infrastructure: Confidence in managing hosting, domains, and DNS (setting up servers, pointing domains, managing SSL, and troubleshooting launches).
  • Portfolio: Must be able to show past work using WordPress and/or HubSpot, ideally with examples of interaction, animation, or dynamic behavior.
  • Design Execution: Ability to follow high-fidelity designs precisely, working closely with a designer to translate their vision into a functional site.

Preferred Skills/expertise

  • Advanced CMS Functionality: Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) or other custom field systems.
  • Technical Integrations: Familiarity with API or CRM integrations.
  • Complex Components: Ability to build advanced filtering systems or complex interactive components.
  • Modern Frameworks: Experience with React or Vue is a plus, though not required if experience is strong in CMS-based development.
  • Animation: Expertise in adding micro-interactions, hover states, and transitions to make sites feel "alive".
