Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Associate Syndications Officer is assigned to the Guarantees and Syndication Unit (GSU) in the Office of the Director General (OPSD) within the Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD) . You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
You will report to the Advisor, PSOD and Head, Guarantees and Syndications Unit.
Your Role
As an Associate Syndications Officer, you will provide relevant research for deal structuring design and maintain mobilization and concessional finance databases, and improve processes through automation, and provide technical user support.
You Will
- Provide research and analytical support to GSU for deal structuring.
- Recommend and implement improvements to data management processes in syndications (funded and unfunded) and concessional finance, including automation, standardization, and documentation.
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable databases covering mobilization and concessional finance pipelines, products, and historical transactions.
- Ensure the Management Information System (MIS) produces accurate, timely, and consistent outputs, and that data inputs meet quality and governance standards.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain user-friendly data input applications, dashboards, and reporting tools related to mobilization and concessional finance.
- Validate, reconcile, and monitor data integrity across data systems, addressing gaps, inconsistencies, and control issues.
- Identify, propose, and implement IT solutions to improve the units operational efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Contribute to data visualizations in presentations prepared by GSU.
You will need:
- Bachelors degree in Finance and/or Information Technology or a related field; preferably with advanced training
- Prior exposure to development finance, financial products or project-based data (e.g. pipelines, transactions, or portfolios)
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in database development, MIS support, for application for financial institutions. High proficiency in Excel is required.
- Proficiency with data visualization in powerpoint presentations is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Power platforms (Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate) is preferred
- Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining databases and dashboards, with a strong focus on data quality and controls.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Written and verbal proficiency in English and local language (as applicable).

Additional Information
This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staffs particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staffs performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
