The Associate Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating Unicapital’s digital initiatives. This role will lead the architecture and implementation of client-facing and internal data-driven systems, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and seamless system integration.
Key Responsibilities
Application Architecture & System Design
Design scalable, secure, and high-performance system architectures for digital financial products.
Define integration frameworks between new digital modules and the existing Trading Platform.
Establish API standards, data flow design, and system documentation.
Ensure compliance with financial data security and regulatory requirements.
Backend, API & Data Engineering
Design and develop robust backend services and RESTful APIs.
Implement data pipelines and aggregation processes across trading and operational systems.
Optimize database structures for performance and scalability.
Manage real-time and batch data processing where applicable.
Frontend & User Experience Development
Develop responsive and intuitive dashboards and user interfaces.
Implement data visualization components for financial analytics.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to enhance user engagement.
Cloud, DevOps & Performance Optimization
Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Implement CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices.
Monitor application performance and resolve bottlenecks proactively.
Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery mechanisms.
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
Contribute to long-term digital strategy and innovation initiatives.
Documentation & Governance
Maintain technical documentation including system architecture diagrams and API specifications.
Establish coding standards and development best practices.
Ensure proper version control, testing, and release documentation. Generate reports on development progress and system performance metrics.
And other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Degree qualification or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum three years of solid experience in software development, preferably in financial systems or fintech environments.
Strong proficiency in full-stack development (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular for frontend; Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET for backend, etc.).
Experience designing and integrating APIs (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, etc.).
Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
Understanding of system security, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and access controls. Cloud & DevOps:
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools.
Understanding of infrastructure scalability and reliability best practices. Soft Skills & Collaboration:
Strong system design and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead projects independently with high ownership.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in a regulated financial environment.
