Edsa Shangri-La, Manila is the only five-star deluxe city-resort convention hotel in Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila's second largest business district. Adjacent to two major shopping complexes in the country - Shangri-La Plaza Mall and SM Megamall. It is seven-kilometres from the Makati Central Business District and 13 kilometers from the international airport.

We are looking for an Assistant Chief Engineer.

As an Assistant Chief Engineer, we rely on you for:

• Oversee maintenance and repair of all buildings, fixtures, fittings and equipment
• Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve profitability of hotel
• Ensure that the equipment in the hotel runs smoothly and efficiently at all times
• Maintain standards and ensure facilities are compliant with local regulations
• Manage, coach and supervise the engineering team
• Support engineering projects through planning, supervision and execution
• Support the audit and training programmes
  
  

• Has a passion for Engineering
• Preferably a degree holder in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
• Has relevant experience with an International Hotel Group
• Communicates and writes with fluency in English (and local language)
• Has great leadership and interpersonal skills
• Self-driven, goal-oriented and able to challenge the status quo
• Upholds professional values, ethics and integrity at all times
• Must be a friendly, helpful and trustworthy leader
• A motivator, self-starter and a teamplayer
