Job Description

The Admin & Accounting Support Officer is primarily responsible for providing accounting and administrative support to the business unit in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Review and check business expenses to ensure completeness of approvals, availability of budget, proper tax application, and accuracy of booking.
  • Assist in billing internal partners and ensures timely recording of revenue as well as proper posting of payments from external partners.
  • Handle and support in resolution of Account Receivables, floats/ outstanding balances and abnormal balances.
  • Prepare accounting, management and regulatory reports and/or requirements such as MPVR, Loss Provision, Subsidiary Ledgers, Aging Reports, Income and Expense Reports5. Assist the BU-FCO in preparation of critical reports, presentations and budget.
  • Attend to regulatory requirement of the team such as JFSAS and RCSA.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve the unit’s targets and to complete necessary trainings and development.
  • Plan and implement initiatives/ projects that may help improve operational processes, increase cost efficiency, and reduce data inaccuracies.
  • Manage and monitor revenues and operating expenses of the supported business.
  • Perform other projects, assignments and duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any business-related course.
  • At least one year of experience in fraud investigation within a financial institution
  • Advance knowledge in MS Office Applications.
  • Basic Accounting Knowledge
  • Experience with database applications and Macro programming
  • Familiarity with banking policies, rules, and budget control methods
  • Ability to challenge existing processes and implement improvements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High integrity, flexibility to address immediate needs, and the ability to work harmoniously within a team
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
