THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client, a privately owned Australian-based investment and family office enterprise, is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join their Finance team. With operations spanning across corporate entities and multiple family households, they have built a strong reputation for long-term value creation, operational excellence, and a collaborative workplace culture.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of finance operations, including processing supplier invoices, executing payment runs, reconciling accounts, and maintaining up-to-date financial records. You will also support compliance with internal controls, contribute to month-end activities, and help drive process improvements across the accounts payable function.

This position requires full onsite work at our BGC office for the first 3–6 months, aligned with Australian business hours: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PHT. Depending on performance, the role will transition to a hybrid work setup thereafter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process a high volume of supplier invoices, credit notes, and employee reimbursements
  • Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (EFT, BPAY) in line with approval processes
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain and update supplier master data, ensuring compliance with verification requirements
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies
  • Provide family reporting through accurate summaries of household and personal expenses
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, approval matrices, and Australian tax regulations (e.g., GST)
  • Support month-end closing activities including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing and providing documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls


Skills, Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in NetSuite or comparable ERP/accounting systems
  • Proficiency in Australian taxation processes (i. e. GST)
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage high transaction volumes
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for effective collaboration with vendors and stakeholders
