Test Engineer

The Test Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software and systems before they reach end users. This position involves designing, developing, and executing test plans to identify defects, verify functionality, and validate performance against requirements. The Test Engineer collaborates closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
• Collaborate with development teams, CJE and stake holders to resolve issues and improve product quality.
• Automate test processes where applicable to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with ING standards and best practices
• Provide clear and detailed test reports and metrics
• Identify and reduce technical debt
• Explore and propose different methods to improve productivity and efficiency of the team
• Investigate and analyze system logs to diagnose issues and validate fixes
  
  

• At least (5) years of experience of QA Testing (Web and API)
• Eagerness in delivering high quality software efficiently
• Passionate in automation, open to apply the DevOps model in day-to-day activities
• Demonstrated ability to drive testing initiative and proposed process improvements
  
  

• Experience in CI/CD pipeline and DevOps practices
• Experience in API testing and testing tools (e.g. JMeter, Postman, Swagger, REST)
• Experience in Agile or Scrum environment
• Experience in versioning tool (e.g. GIT)
• Experience in database testing (e.g. SQL, Oracle)
• Knowledge in Kafka
• Strong understanding of software testing and methodologies and QA processes.
• Proficiency in test management tools and defect tracking systems (e.g. Azure Test Plans)
• Knowledgeable in programming language (e.g. Java, Python) for test automation
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium, WebDriverIO, Playwright, Pytest)
• AI QA Testing tools (nice to have)
