TECHNICAL MANAGER (JAVA)

Job Summary

The Technical Manager is responsible for the hands-on development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise applications, with a strong focus on Java-based solutions. The role leads the delivery of technical solutions across front-end, back-end, and integration components while ensuring application stability, compliance, and alignment with business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based applications to support business, operational, and regulatory requirements of the Bank
• Perform hands-on full-stack development, including front-end, back-end, API, and system integration components, while ensuring adherence to development standards and best practices
• Lead application support activities, including incident, problem, and change management, to ensure service level commitments and system availability are consistently met
• Conduct systems analysis, technical design, code reviews, and solution implementation while providing technical guidance to developers and project teams
• Collaborate with business users, vendors, and technology teams to deliver application enhancements, manage technical risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in Java development, including hands-on application design, development, maintenance, and support of enterprise systems
• Strong proficiency in Java, Oracle databases, SQL, application development lifecycle methodologies, and systems analysis and design
• Experience in full-stack development, including front-end technologies, back-end services, APIs, and system integration frameworks
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, preferably with experience in banking or financial services environments
