What role will you play?

As a Lead Data Engineer in the Manila Data and Analytics team, you will be working with traders, desk analysts and central data teams to provide data and analytics solutions across our Commodities and Global Markets business lines.

You’ll be the face of Data Analytics in the APAC region, managing a team of engineers, providing technical direction, leading the development of data analytics capabilities such as the data catalog, data science workbench, visualisation tools and real-time analytics. You’ll be working with our public-cloud based data lake, data pipelines for internal operational and external fundamental and alternative market data. You will bring your interest in maturing our development practises across our agile-based team, looking to help us on our journey to continually improve the robustness of our solutions, and the speed with which we can respond to our business’s needs.

What You Offer

• 6+ years of experience in developing, debugging and running Python code in production
• Experience working with containers and deploying them in production e.g. EKS
• Experience in AWS Cloud e.g. IAM, S3, EC2, EKS
• A passion for AI, Data and automation
• A self starter and problem solver, with effective communication skills
• Experience managing people and building relationships within the business
• Exposure to the following technologies is an advantage: Parquet, Iceberg, Trino, Redshift, Airflow, Hive, Dataiku.
