Position Summary

As a Quality Control Auditor, your primary responsibility is to support the Quality Control team by performing various tasks related to auditing and verifying the accuracy of our dental revenue cycle management services. Operating as an independent contractor, you will assist in reviewing billing processes, insurance claims, clearinghouses, and documentation to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while contributing to the overall quality of our services.

How The Quality Control Auditor Fits In

The Quality Control Auditor plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our dental revenue cycle management processes. As an independent contractor, you will work closely with the Quality Control Manager and other team members to identify errors, ensure compliance, and support process improvements. Your contributions will help safeguard the quality of our services, leading to improved client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Audit Support

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in auditing various aspects of the dental revenue cycle management process, including insurance claims, payment postings, and outstanding claims.

Data Verification

  • Verify the accuracy and consistency of data within billing systems, ensuring that all entries comply with company standards and industry regulations.

Compliance Monitoring

  • Help monitor compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and ensure that all billing practices adhere to legal and ethical standards.

Documentation And Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of audit findings and assist in preparing reports for the Quality Control Manager.

Collaboration And Communication

  • Work closely with the Quality Control Manager and other team members to identify discrepancies and provide feedback for process improvements.

Continuous Learning

  • Stay informed about industry trends and updates in dental revenue cycle management to ensure ongoing compliance and quality improvement.

Self-Management And Independence

  • Manage your tasks effectively, demonstrating the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.

Success Criteria

Compliance Adherence:

  • Ensure 100% compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies in all tasks performed.

Timely Task Completion

  • Auditors are expected to complete 3-5 audits per day, depending on complexity.

Collaboration And Feedback

  • Provide actionable feedback to team members, leading to process improvements and enhanced accuracy in billing operations.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in an administrative or support role with dental insurance.
  • Experience working as an independent contractor is preferred.
  • Familiarity with working with independent contractors on a global scale.
  • High School diploma or GED; some college coursework is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), Google Workspace, and familiarity with practice management softwares (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
