Your Role

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will:

Design and execute comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases across functional, regression, and integration testing cycles.

Perform manual testing for web and API applications, accurately logging and tracking defects using tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.

Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for UI and API testing using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and monitor test stability.

Conduct root cause analysis on defects and collaborate with developers, BAs, and PMs to ensure high-quality releases.

Prepare and maintain test documentation including test cases, checklists, test data, and execution reports.

Support regression, smoke, and integration testing to ensure system stability during releases.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Contribute to QA process improvements, automation coverage expansion, and peer reviews within the team.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

2–4 years of experience in software testing or QA roles.

Strong hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing.

Proficiency in automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.

Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, Newman, Supertest, or REST Assured.

Solid SQL skills including joins, data validation, and stored procedures.

Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

Experience using Git for version control (branching and merging).

Preferred Skills/expertise

Basic scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.

Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.

Basic understanding of security testing concepts (OWASP).

Experience in mobile testing using Appium or BrowserStack.

ISTQB Foundation or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
