Job Description

The Assistant Compliance Officer provides operational and administrative support to the Compliance Officer, ensuring that BPI Capital Corporation complies with applicable law, rules and regulations issued by regulatory bodies such as the BSP, SEC, PDEx, AMLC, and NPC. The role supports the implementation, testing. monitoring , reporting and documentation of compliance programs, including corporate governance and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the Compliance System and the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Program (MTPP).
  • Support compliance testing activities, including self-assessment exercises and Internal Audit coordination.
  • Help prepare reports and documentation for submission to the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and regulators.
  • Maintain and update the Compliance Matrix to reflect new laws, regulations, and control procedures.
  • Track regulatory developments and disseminate updates to relevant units and employees.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of documentary submissions to regulators.
  • Monitor compliance with the Corporate Governance Manual in coordination with relevant units. Assist in the review, evaluation, and updating of internal policies and procedures in line with new regulations and best practices.
  • Facilitate clear communication of compliance matters across the organization.
  • Support training initiatives to educate employees on compliance requirements and updates.
  • Provide administrative support during regulatory examinations and audits.
  • Assist in consolidating management replies to findings and exceptions and monitor the completion of audit items/commitments.
  • Assist in monitoring and submission of compliance reports to BPI Parent and regulators.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to BPI Capital’s licenses and accreditations, including notifications of material changes, renewals, and payment of annual fees. Help maintain constructive working relationships with regulators.
  • Monitor industry trends, developments, and best practices in compliance.
  • Support the Compliance Officer’s involvement in industry associations and activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (BSP, SEC, PDEx, AMLC, NPC) preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office application
