Hybrid

We have a balanced hybrid working model to ensure you get the flexibility you need and the successful candidate will spend their time between working in the office and working from home.

Role:

Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for handling and coordinating work for the Financial Reporting group within the Asset Servicing group. AS is a team of global service financial professionals that has operational capabilities in all locations. AS encompasses Valuation Reporting and Unitized Valuation and Reporting Service and is comprised of partners who support Northern Trust business in conjunction with our global network of operational partners.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

1. Ensures that the team/divisions goals for accuracy and timeliness are maintained

2. Plans and manages the team workflow to accomplish critical tasks on time

3. Ensures that new procedures are effectively communicated and training is administered where needed

4. Manages volumes of tasks to meet client deadlines

5. Escalates relevant and critical issues to management and all pertinent partners in a timely and efficient manner

6. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact

7. May have direct interaction with clients, external auditors of clients and/or Senior Management

8. Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees

9. May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role), including daily interaction with home country counterparts

10. More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas

11. Delivers a work product that requires less revision

12.Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions in consultation with senior members of the team

Working Hours

  • 7AM to 4PM or 11AM to 8PM, depending on the specific FR team

Skills/Qualifications:

The successful candidate would benefit from having:

At least 4 years overall experience in financial statement preparation or financial reporting in an Audit Firm, or financial institution;

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly desirable

Background in accounting/regulatory/statutory reporting will be preferred
