Junior QA Automation Engineer

ABOUT THE COMPANY

EROAD is a global fleet management technology company and a true Kiwi tech success story, listed on both the NZX and ASX and growing fast across New Zealand, Australia, the Philippines and the USA. As it continues that growth it is looking for a Junior QA Automation Engineer to join a collaborative agile team supporting its SaaS-based fleet management solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You'll blend hands-on manual testing with growing automation work across the platform.

• Test web, mobile, API and backend functionality to catch issues before customers do
• Run and maintain existing automated test suites
• Contribute new automated test cases using established frameworks and coding standards
• Track defects through their full lifecycle and work with the team to resolve them
• Take part in agile ceremonies and planning as a full member of the delivery team
• Report to the Chapter Lead - QA and collaborate closely with developers and fellow QA engineers

WHAT YOU NEED

We're after someone with a solid foundation in QA who is keen to build deeper automation skills.

• 1-2 years of software QA experience, including manual testing
• Foundational understanding of QA methodologies, defect lifecycle and SDLC
• Knowledge of Agile delivery practices, CI/CD and version control systems
• Working knowledge of test automation concepts or coding fundamentals in a relevant language
• Familiarity with Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Postman or a comparable automation or API testing tool
• Basic understanding of testing web applications, APIs, databases or mobile applications
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

THE DETAILS

• Employment type: Permanent
• Location: Manila
• Work model: Hybrid (4 Days in Office)'
• Hours: Hybrid work arrangement: 4 days onsite (Monday to Thursday) and 1 day work from home (Friday) 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PHT shift with a semi-flexible start and end time, subject to team and business requirements.
