Job Description

Position : Content Designer & Social Media Producer (Offshore)

Salary : ~NZD 1,500 per month

Working Hours & Conditions : Full-time (Remote), ideally NZ Business Hours (NZT) with min. 3-4 hours overlap

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Your primary responsibility is to produce high-quality, on-brand visual and social content — graphics, video, edited photography and social posts — that supports companys marketing across New Zealand and Australia. You will be the hands-on production engine of the team: taking creative direction and briefs from the in-house marketing team and turning them into finished, polished assets quickly and consistently, increasingly using AI tools to lift output and speed.

Note: This is a hands-on production role that sits inside our in-house marketing team. Creative/social strategy, campaign concepting, media buying, and community management are retained internally. We need an excellent maker who executes briefs to a high standard.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Graphic Design & Production

·         Design on-brand marketing collateral — social graphics, digital ads, brochures, flyers, signage, display-home and house-and-land materials, presentations and email graphics.

·         Build and maintain reusable Canva templates so the wider team and franchisees can self-serve within brand guidelines.

·         Adapt master creative into the many sizes and formats needed across platforms and both markets.

Video Editing

·         Edit short-form video for social (Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts) — walkthroughs, testimonials, build time-lapses, promotions and brand content.

·         Add captions, motion graphics, music, colour grading and brand elements; deliver platform-correct exports.

Photo Editing

·         Retouch and colour-correct property and display-home photography; remove distractions, straighten, enhance interiors and exteriors.

·         Prepare image sets for web, social, print and listings.

Social Media Content Production

·         Produce and lay out social content calendars set by the in-house team; build the posts, carousels and stories.

·         Schedule and publish approved content across platforms; keep a tidy, well-labelled asset library.

·         Provide basic performance reporting (reach, engagement) to support the teams decisions.

AI-Assisted Workflow

·         Use AI tools to accelerate production — e.g. generative image editing and background work, AI video and captioning, and AI-assisted copy drafting for review — while protecting brand quality and accuracy.

·         Suggest ways to streamline and scale content production using new tools.

Essential Experience & Skills

·         Graphic Design: Strong visual design eye; layout, typography, colour and composition; a clean and professional portfolio.

·         Video Editing: Confident short-form editing with captions, motion and music; a showreel of published social video.

·         Photo Editing: Retouching and colour correction to a commercial standard (interiors/exteriors a plus).

·         Attention to Detail: Precise, consistent, brand-accurate work; catches spelling, alignment and export errors before review.

·         AI Tools: Practical, current experience using AI for image, video and/or copy production; keen to learn new tools.

·         Canva: Proficient in Canva, including building and managing brand templates.

·         Adobe / Editing Suite: Working knowledge of Photoshop and Lightroom, plus a video editor (Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut or DaVinci Resolve).

·         Social Platforms: Hands-on with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube formats and specs; comfortable with a scheduler.

·         English Proficiency: Strong written and spoken English — able to lay out on-brand copy accurately and take briefs directly.

·         NZ / AU Market Feel: Understands (or can quickly learn) how NZ and Australian home-buyers think and what reads as credible in those markets.

·         Reliability: Self-managing, meets deadlines, communicates proactively across time zones.

Highly Desirable

·         Experience in property, construction, real estate, interiors or another considered-purchase category.

·         Prior work for Australian or New Zealand clients / brands.

·         Motion graphics and simple animation (After Effects).

·         Basic web/email asset production (e.g. Figma, HTML email, landing-page graphics).

·         Photography or 3D/render familiarity.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

·         Fast turnaround and high-quality execution of finished, polished marketing assets.

·         Consistent brand accuracy and zero error rate in final deliverables.

·         Effective integration of AI tools to scale production speed and quality.

·         Smooth collaboration and proactive communication across time zones.

·         High-performing, visually engaging social media graphics and short-form video content.

THE IDEAL PERSON:

You are:

·         A highly skilled maker and visual storyteller who takes pride in clean, polished creative output.

·         Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working remotely in an offshore environment.

·         Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design, typography, and commercial presentation.

·         Eager to embrace AI tools and workflow innovations to stay efficient.

·         Adaptable and culturally aware, able to quickly grasp New Zealand and Australian market nuances.
