Responsible for the development and creation of new formula and alternate formulations; product formula optimizations; studies current market products to benchmark existing product properties as produced.

Key Responsibilities

Develops / creates new and alternate product formulations for assigned products

Conducts trial batching of formulated products

Calculates cost of selected products, analyzes formula, and creates optimized formulations to improve and enhance product quality & cost efficiency

Conducts analysis of paint properties for assigned developments to verify complete and accurate test results

Creates batching procedures & work instructions of formulated product(s) prior to encoding of final formulation

Implements corrective actions for issues/concerns raised related to product development

Conducts investigation on nonconforming products

Executes product testing, verification, and validation on newly developed products

Develops and carries out complex and simple testing programs as required by the organization and other regulatory agencies

Prepares test reports of all developed and tested products

About You

Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering/Material Science course

At least 1-2 years' experience in the same industry/position or equivalent

Preferably a Licensed Chemical Engineer/Chemist
