Database Administrator

Design, implement and maintain databases. Install database management systems (DMBS). Develop procedures for day-to-day maintenance and problem resolution.

Summary: As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to ensure their optimal performance and reliability. The role includes installing database management systems and developing procedures to support daily maintenance and resolve any issues that arise. Collaboration with various teams to support database operations and continuous improvement is a key part of the daily routine. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure database solutions align with organizational goals. - Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to enhance efficiency. - Lead efforts to document database configurations, policies, and procedures. Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Oracle Database Operations. - Additional Good To Have Skills: Experience with Database Administration. - Strong knowledge of database architecture, backup, recovery, and security best practices. - Experience in performance tuning and optimization of database systems. - Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and provide effective solutions. - Familiarity with scripting and automation to streamline database management tasks. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Database Operations. - This position is based at our Manila office.
