Your Role in Focus

Be part of our clients team as a Consumer Underwriting Representative, where you handle inbound applications, verify documents, and perform underwriting reviews. Youll provide clear status updates, guide applicants through the process, escalate complex cases when needed, and ensure compliance-all while delivering an accurate and professional consumer experience.

Shift: Mon to Fri 9AM - 6PM EST until 10pm latest shift, Sat to Sun 11AM - 7PM EST), Consecutive Days Off

Qualifications That Set You Up for Success:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative role
• Quickly spots errors and inconsistencies when reviewing documents
• Follows rules precisely and makes fair, logical decisions
• Explains complex decisions clearly and professionally to customers
• Manages multiple applications and meets deadlines efficiently
• Quickly learns new company policies and compliance rules
• Previous administrative experience in any industry is preferred
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound consumer calls related to application status, documentation requirements, and underwriting decisions
• Respond promptly and accurately to consumer inquiries, providing clear and professional status updates
• Answer questions and escalate issues or concerns to leadership when necessary
• Collect, review, and verify consumer-provided documents such as income documents, financial statements, and identification
• Perform underwriting reviews following established policies and guidelines
• Communicate decisions, next steps, or additional information requests clearly and professionally to consumers
• Accurately document all interactions and updates in the system of record
• Escalate complex or high-risk cases to senior underwriters as needed
• Maintain compliance with company policies, data privacy, and regulatory requirements
• Continuously build knowledge of underwriting principles, credit risk, and verification standards
