Your impact

As part of our Global Delivery Center (GDC), you’ll be at the heart of delivering high-impact energy and power projects across the globe. We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of large-scale transmission connected simple cycle or combined cycle power plants to support our power generation practice. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside design team members in the United States to produce detailed design documents and perform construction phase engineering services.

Responsibilities include

  • Provide technical leadership for the electrical design of large‑scale, transmission‑connected simple cycle and combined cycle power generation projects.
  • Lead and coordinate electrical engineering activities with multidisciplinary teams and global stakeholders, including close collaboration with U.S.-based design teams.
  • Develop and own electrical design criteria, philosophies, and scopes of work in alignment with project objectives, codes, and standards.
  • Lead the development of electrical system deliverables, including single-line diagrams (SLDs), protection philosophies, wiring and schematic diagrams, and detailed design drawings.
  • Prepare and approve technical specifications for major electrical equipment, including substations, switchgear, transformers, motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), motors, and unit substations
  • Prepare the production of installation and layout drawings such as electrical room layouts, MCC single lines, cable schedules, panel layouts, grounding, lighting, and power plans.
  • Plan and manage discipline staffing requirements based on project scope, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Provide technical oversight during construction, including reviewing contractor submittals, responding to RFIs, and resolving field engineering issues.
  • Perform and lead quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of electrical deliverables to ensure compliance with technical standards and project requirements.
  • Review, approve, and take accountability for all electrical deliverables within assigned projects.
  • Mentor, guide, and technically develop junior engineers and designers; provide input to performance development and skills growth.


Heres what youll need

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Relevant experience in electrical engineering design with at least 5 years of experience in the electrical engineering design of simple cycle and/or combined cycle gas turbine generation projects
  • Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC), IEEE, Philippine Electrical Codes and Philippine Distribution Code and other international codes and standards
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Experience in concept design, FEED up to detailed engineering design
  • Lead Engineer experience
  • Proficient in Revit or 2D AutoCAD


Other Highly Regarded Qualifications Include Experience With

  • Working knowledge of US codes and standards
  • Power system modeling and analysis proficiency using ETAP, SKM Power Tools or similar modeling software
  • Protection and Control, SCADA or power system automation experience
