Job Summary

The Research & Development Assistant Manager supports the planning, development, and commercialization of new food products for restaurant operations. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure new products are operationally feasible, standardized, and successfully implemented across commissary and store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing new product development and commercialization projects.
• Coordinate product trials, pilot runs, and operational validations.
• Develop standardized recipes, production procedures, and technical documentation.
• Prepare SOPs, BOMs, product specifications, and costing information.
• Coordinate with QA, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Training teams during commercialization.
• Conduct product evaluations and recommend process improvements.
• Support supplier evaluations and raw material testing.
• Monitor implementation performance and resolve operational issues during rollout.
• Supervise assigned R&D staff and project activities.
  
  
  

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Engineering, Culinary Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Restaurant R&D, Product Development, Technical Services, or Food Manufacturing.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience in recipe standardization and product commercialization.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills.
• Knowledge of SAP/ERP is an advantage.
