Role Overview

• Independently uncovers potential claims with Product Development and other departments (Regulatory Affairs/Innovations /Marketing/SIFT) to come up with the best supportable claims for identified projects
• Independently generates claims support for new and existing products in collaboration with Product Development/Regulatory Affairs/Innovations/Marketing/SIFT. Reviews potential sources of claims such as technical data, clinical test results, competitive claims and market research.
• Collaborates with Product Development on products needing clinical research. Creates hypotheses, study design and analyzes technical results to make a conclusion and translate this to concrete action plans.
• Proposes areas for improvement in the claims management processes to facilitate a faster release of well-substantiated claims support to customers/regulatory bodies (e.g. FDA, ASC). Identifies and addresses areas for improvement in the SCM work processes and translates them into relevant SOPs and work instructions
• Leads the preparation of technical documents such as claims support, clinical report abridged version, standard operating procedures, work instructions and other relevant documentations to meet GMP requirements/reports and uploads in the appropriate database
• Understands the needs of the target consumers and the competitive landscape and utilizes understanding to influence product sensories/claims development. Identifies market opportunities outside of the defined NPD pipeline due to technical in-depth.
• Effectively designs and leads typical to complex internal consumer tests and summarizes results sytematically with least supervision. Uncovers insights from data that may not be obvious to others.
• Independently monitor potential issues in claims management operations and in other assigned R&D tasks, reports them in a timely manner to supervisor and provides recommendations.
• Conceptualizes/leads in designing various training modules on robust sensory tests that significantly improve the quality of work. Leads in the creation of consumer technical models.
• Establishes/negotiates on technical project plans and timelines in assigned projects. Communicates in a timely and collaborative manner within & outside R&D.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• With at least 5 years of R&D product formulation and/or process development background in Body/Personal Care/Food and ingestives.
• Has exposure in sensory testing of skin care products and food/ingestives.
• Has basic knowledge about the following:
• science of the skin
• clinical test protocols - design, review and data interpretation of the reports
• statistical analysis is an advantage
• Has experience on product claims generation and substantiation of skin care products.
• Has a good sense of smell with no major skin condition.
• Has good communication and business presentation skills.
