The Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through hands-on manual testing and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, managing defects, and contributing to continuous improvements in QA processes to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, create, and maintain Master Test Plans and SIT (System Integration Testing) Test Plans
Design, review, and execute detailed test cases and test scripts based on requirements and user stories
Perform hands-on manual testing across multiple product modules; not limited to coordination or administrative tasks
Conduct API testing using Postman to validate backend services and integrations
Identify, log, track, and manage defects using Jira or similar tools; actively participate in defect triage meetings
Perform functional, integration, and system testing to validate features, enhancements, and bug fixes
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business teams to ensure quality deliverables
Prepare and present test status reports, dashboards, and quality metrics for internal and client stakeholders
Participate in daily client calls and meetings, communicating clearly and confidently with multiple stakeholders
Ensure testing activities align with project timelines, release schedules, and quality standards
Promote best practices in QA and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
Stay updated with industry trends and apply modern testing practices to enhance team performance
Required Skills & Qualifications:
2–5 years of experience in Manual Testing
Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle)
Hands-on experience in Test Planning, Test Case Creation, and Test Execution
Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with the Avaloq Core Banking System
Basic understanding of banking products and services
Avaloq certification is highly desirable and considered a strong advantage
Experience in automation testing is an added advantage
