As a
Jr. Underwriter, you will support loan processing by reviewing documentation, validating compliance, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring files are complete and accurate-helping move loans smoothly from review to closing.

The Qualifications We Seek
- Bachelors degree graduate
- Minimum of 2-3 years of mortgage or lending experience
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and regulatory rules, laws, and underwriting guidelines in the mortgage industry
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to multitask
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Your Daily Tasks
- Analyze credit, income, assets, contracts, and appraisals
- Research program guidelines to ensure loans meet underwriting standards
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of the 1003
- Request Chain of Title from title companies or seller attorneys during processing
- Apply knowledge of income calculations and TRID guidelines
- Create follow-up procedures for items requested on needs letters, appraisals, titles, and approvals
- Complete Clear to Close audits for every file prior to submission for CTC
- Ensure borrowers understand conditions required for closing
- Order subordination agreements upon receipt of appraisal and title
- Schedule closing dates and times with borrowers, loan officers, and title companies (if required)
- Examine refinance title commitments to verify borrower ownership, property tax status, and lien accuracy
