Schedule: Monday to Friday (6:00AM - 3:00PM PHT)

What are we looking for?

Reporting to the IT Systems Engineering Lead, the IT Systems Engineer is responsible for providing deep technical expertise to implement, operate, support and maintain our operational IT infrastructure. This role is accountable for the delivery of support and issue resolution, as well as liaising with other IT Teams and third-party providers to resolve issues.

Skills Required

  • 5 years experience in the ICT industry
  • Experience with maintaining Azure, Hyper-V and vSphere
  • Microsoft Azure and M365 Certifications or working towards
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of technical resources in the support of enterprise systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work within an environment of competing priorities with strict deadlines and the capacity to share knowledge within the team
  • Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree.

Nice To Have

  • Experience in DELL, Pure Storage
  • Certification in Azure, M365
  • PowerShell Scripting

What will you do?

  • Maintaining and ensuring high availability of enterprise-wide virtualization systems e.g. vSphere, Hyper-V
  • Administering, configuring, and supporting of enterprise shared business systems including storage, backups, monitoring, identity management, messaging, etc.
  • Deployment, managing and maintaining M365 applications and the Azure environment ensuring adherence to license management
  • Effectively design, deploy and maintain infrastructure for our Data Centres.
  • Build and keep current, relevant IT infrastructure system documentation, policies and procedures including Disaster Recovery Plan
  • Reporting on IT infrastructure operations to allow fine-tuning and optimising of the IT Infrastructure
  • Provide internal expertise to the business queries and helpdesk tickets of Systems Engineering related issues, systems, processes and data. Analyse the tickets/incidents raised to identify key themes to educate the
  • Service Desk (training or providing documentation) in the respective assigned functional area(s) to increase the number of issues resolved at Service Desk
  • Ensure all proposed changes/fixes proposed and implemented by the external support service provider and/or other internal teams are aligned to our IT principles and are sustainable/supportable
  • Collaborate with the other IT teams to ensure end-to-end support coverage across all changes, break/fixes and continuous improvement initiative
